a page from a lifestyle newborn session at the loft studio

The Loft Studio in Lehi is one of my favorite studios for sessions. It's a fun space and you can get a lot of variety. Normally I do newborn sessions in-home, but if you feel like your home doesn't get enough light or the thought of preparing your home for a photo session seems stressful, doing a lifestyle studio photo session is a great option!

Kayo is a good friend of mine. We work together as second photographers for each other's weddings and have done a couple of styled photo shoots together. I hired her to capture a Fresh 48 session when my daughter was born so I was excited when she hired me for a lifestyle newborn session.

I remember how hard it was adjusting from having one kid to having two kids. It's a whole new experience for your first born. Some are excited and take it really well. Others have a hard time with a new sibling added to the picture and may feel misplaced or jealous. My first born was the latter and had an especially hard time adjusting. He would cry almost every time I would hold his brother. It was a hard time then but now my two boys play so well together. With this experience in mind siblings are just as important as the newborn in a lifestyle newborn session. They now have a new role as an older brother or sister and are no longer the baby of the family.

Kayo's oldest was so sweet and gentle with his new baby brother. And I could tell he is impatient for when his older brother is old enough to play with him. These are some favorites from our studio session together! And if you want to know more about booking a studio session feel free to get in touch! I offer a half session and a full session and have three main studios that I usually rent.
